Professional Development


     The ASBO Professional Development Committee is charged with a wide range of responsibilities, all of which significantly contribute to the professional growth of the members of ASBO. The Committee has eight Subcommittees which encompass all eight core areas of school business: Finance and Administration, Purchasing, Pupil Transportation, Human Resources, Facilities and Construction, Safety and Risk Management, Food Services, and Information Technology.     The Committee is responsible for planning the dozens of education sessions at the Spring and Fall Conferences each year, the workshops that occur frequently throughout the year, and the Foundations of School Business Management curriculum which is the core of the ASBO professional certification program. The Committee also solicits articles that appear in the ASBO Matters News Journal Magazine and the ASBO Connects newsletter.
